Engineer, Manufacturing Process Design
Provides engineering support for domestic manufacturer of medical-therapeutic support surfaces and patient positioning devices: Includes research and development, product design, and manufacturing processes and procedures. Performs liaison with institutional customers’ engineering and technical personnel to ensure that products meet their performance and quality requirements. Provides engineering support for new product development throughout the process, from initial design through implementation of production. Maps Value Streams and process flows for increased volumes and decreased throughput times. Reports on necessary factors and inputs to bring project from original concept to production, among them material and labor requirements and costs. With respect to existing and new productions, designs and/or modifies product process procedure, routers, process flow charts and work instructions. Performs process validation and verification. Provides engineering support to implement training for manufacturing teams. Determines and maintains “Best Practice” manufacturing standards in such areas as quality assurance, safety, and housekeeping policies and procedures. Keeps current on developments in the medical-therapeutic support device field and medical-therapeutic manufacturing generally, through continuing review of academic, government, and industry literature, so that up-to-date knowledge can be taken into consideration in the performance of engineering duties. May be assigned, from time to time, to design or perform studies of CPK, Process Flow, and to write and perform validation protocols.
Requirements:
- Master Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 2 years in Job Offered
- Skillset: Knowledge of mechanical design principles, whether gained through post-secondary academic, or prior employment experience
